The Lemosho Route offers one of the most scenic and less-traveled paths to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Over seven days, trekkers experience a gradual ascent through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and glacier zones. This extended itinerary allows optimal acclimatization, enhancing the chances of reaching Uhuru Peak while enjoying panoramic vistas, diverse ecosystems, and expert guidance.

Itinerary
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet your guides and transfer to Lemosho Gate for registration. Begin your trek through lush rainforest to Big Tree Camp. Overnight in tented camp.
Trek across the forest and ascend to Shira Plateau. Enjoy expansive views of the surrounding highlands and volcanic landscapes. Overnight in Shira Camp.
Cross the Shira Plateau, descend slightly into Barranco Valley. Optional afternoon climb of the Barranco Wall for spectacular vistas. Overnight in Barranco Camp.
Hike through the Karanga Valley, traversing moorlands and rocky landscapes. Prepare for the higher altitude sections ahead. Overnight in Karanga Camp.
Ascend to Barafu Camp. Rest and hydrate, preparing for the midnight summit push. Overnight in Barafu Camp.
Begin the late-night climb to Uhuru Peak to witness sunrise over Africa. Descend via Mweka Route to Mweka Camp, passing through alpine desert and moorland. Overnight in Mweka Camp.
Complete the descent to Mweka Gate. Transfer to hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport for onward journey, celebrating your successful summit.
