3 Days Amboseli Safari – Road or Fly-In Luxury Escape

Your journey begins in the morning with your preferred mode of travel. If by road from Nairobi, you'll be met by your private driver-guide and depart in a luxury 4x4 safari vehicle, taking in views of the Rift Valley, Maasai homesteads, and wide savannahs as you approach the park. If you opt for the fly-in option, a short scenic flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport brings you to Amboseli in under an hour, where you’ll be welcomed at the airstrip and transferred to your lodge with a game drive en route. Travelers starting from the coast can also fly in from Mombasa or Diani, connecting into Amboseli before midday. Upon arrival, settle into your luxury lodge or tented camp. After lunch and a brief rest, enjoy your first game drive across the open plains, returning to your lodge in time for sundowners, a gourmet dinner, and an overnight stay beneath the stars.

Wake up to the golden light over Mount Kilimanjaro and set off on a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is at its most active. Amboseli is home to large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and over 400 species of birds. Throughout the day, you will explore different areas of the park on morning and afternoon drives, guided by expert naturalists who share insights into the behavior and ecosystems of the region. During your downtime, enjoy a swim at the lodge, relax with views over the plains, or indulge in spa treatments available at select properties. Optional activities include a cultural visit to a local Maasai village, a bush breakfast set in the wild, or a private sundowner experience with Kilimanjaro as your backdrop. After a relaxed breakfast and an optional early morning game drive, prepare for your return journey. Guests traveling by road will begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. If you choose the fly-in option, you'll be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi or directly to the Kenyan coast. Upon arrival, a transfer can be arranged to your hotel, airport, or beach resort, depending on your onward plans.
